Twilight Tuesday

I’m in another fic slump. It sucks. I haven’t started anything new in quite a while and it seems that everything is ending again. The good part about being in a slump is that I’m reading real books again.

Back when I was in Kelowna, I had picked up the Anne Rice vampire series for a couple of dollars. I’ve been putting off reading them for a while now, and finally picked up Interview With the Vampire, a little over a month ago.

I forgot how much I enjoyed the movie, and being about 2/3 of the way done, I’m finding that it’s quite similar to what I remember. It’s a harder read than the books I normally have but enjoyable nonetheless.

In the meantime, I’ve put it down here and there to pick up others that come my way, be it from a friend or the library.

Over all though, I’ve enjoyed the feel of paper in my fingers as I turn the page, and see where the story will take me.

Dilemma

I know I’m overly organized, but getting Christmas cards ready and done by September is not that unusual in my world.

We went and did pictures today for our Christmas card (Steve was a great sport) in an alley downtown, and they turned out great! The only hard part is figuring out which one to use. I love them all, and I really can’t decide. Maybe I’ll end up doing two or three different ones.

Friday 5

Welcome to this weeks Friday 5, Spoilers.

  1.  Has anyone ever spoiled a book/movie/etc. for you? Definitely.
  2.  Have you ever spoiled a book/movie/etc. for anyone? Probably at some point, though I try not to.
  3.  Are you (or were you) spoiled as a child? Definitely not!
  4.  Do you put spoiler cuts when you discuss books/film in your journal? Not often, and I generally label them spoilers.
  5.  Is there any food spoiling in your kitchen right now? Yep, and Steve is throwing it out as I type.

Twilight Tuesday

Sometimes it’s hard to watch shows nobody else does. You have no one to talk to about it, and when something exciting happens, sometimes you feel the need to release and tell someone anyways. The only people I know that watch True Blood are my sister-in-law and her friends in Kelowna, and they’re way behind on this season. After watching Sundays episode I felt a huge need to discuss it with someone, but alas, there was no one to talk to, and with only two more episodes left in the season, the need is just going to get worse!

It’s nice that Twi-Whore at least watches Vampire Diaries with me, so that I have someone to talk about it with. Especially seeing as there’s a huge twist in almost every episode, and with only a few more weeks till it starts, we finally saw the fall preview! Squeeing did commence as expected. It looks like it’s going to be a great season!

But I still don’t have anyone to discuss True Blood with. Le sigh.
